As a part of celebrations to mark twenty (20) years of optical service and in commemoration of World Sight Day, Med-Optics Ltd has launched a new branch in Ntinda at Aponye Mall on Ssemawata road today. This branch was officially launched by Dr. Fabian Nabugoomu. This store will aim to serve within the Ntinda area and the surrounding neighborhoods of Kisasi, Kigowa, Kiwatule, Kira, Kyambogo and Naguru. The new branch offers comfort and convenience with a fitted consulting room and an updated frames layout to make choosing easier.

qualified optometrists who are registered with the Ministry of Health Allied Health Professionals Council, ensuring that patients receive the best in optical treatment.

Med-Optics Vision Centre was proud to conduct an outreach at the North Green Schools in Ntinda, both the Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary on the 28th and 29th of November 2022 respectively.

The outreach ran for two consecutive days, where we offered free eye screening to the students, with the consent of their parents, who took home stamped slips showing the outcome of the screening per student such that further action could take place if necessary as recommended by our optometrist.

The school staff also benefited from this exercise as they were also able to be screened and given advice accordingly.

The school community was grateful and appreciated because this outreach benefited them greatly.

North Green Schools Outreach

On September 28th, 2022, Med-Optics Vision Centre was happy to participate in a medical camp outreach organised by UAP insurance and Cotton-on foundation at Cotton-on foundation headquarters in Masaka district.

Cotton-on Foundation personnel were given the opportunity to receive free eye screenings, and ready readers were given to individuals who were found to be in need. The Med Optics team was able to interact with and screen all of the organization’s workers whilst educating them on how they could best take care of their eyes.

The event also created awareness of our Masaka branch, for which the community was grateful for because they benefited significantly from this outreach.
